Bernadette Nason is a multi-award-winning storyteller/actress/writer. She hails from England, lives in Austin, and performs worldwide. She is acclaimed for her spirited retelling of multicultural folktales and her personal stories about the many places she's lived. Nason has been a touring artist with the Texas Commission on the Arts since 2002, and presents annually to over 33,000 students, Pre-K through high school. She has won the Austin Critics' Table Award for "Conspicuous Versatility" and the dubious title, "Biggest Liar in Texas." She is Austin Symphony's official emcee/storyteller for their children's summer events, and will present their Halloween extravaganza at the Long Center’s Dell Hall in October. She is currently performing in HOLMES AND WATSON at the Austin Playhouse. Nason is working on DINNER IN DUBAI, describing her thrilling life in the United Arab Emirates, a follow-up to her critically-acclaimed memoir, TEA IN TRIPOLI, re. her year of living dangerously in North Africa.
