Decee Cornish who is known as the Urban Griot is a multicultural storyteller, oral historian, and educator. With programs as "Gator Bill" and the award winning one man play, "To Love the Earth George Washington Carver". Over 18 years telling stories and traveling nationally. For my work with the "Stop the Violence" Program, MLK Foundation, NOSAP, I earned the "Coming Up Taller" award from the Presidential Commission on the Arts and Humanities. My military experience enabled me to attend school in and visit five of the seven continents. Like AESOP I use my stories to teach motivate and heal. I love to make children laugh. My program are fun with lots of student interaction. A TCA Tour Artist, so you will be able to apply for grant dollars to help with costs. Myths, history, legends, ghost stories and more for students of all ages. Let me entertain you with my stories of friendship, tolerance, and understanding.
