Co-author Becky Hoag will share the origins, structure, and purpose of the memoir, Letters to Rose.  Robin Philbrick will discuss the project’s concept of incorporating student letters of impact and inspiration, as well as the book’s implications for the classroom and library programming.  Holocaust Survivor Rose Williams will mesmerize listeners with an abbreviated account of her horrific experiences during the Holocaust.  This collaborative effort goes beyond the traditional Holocaust memoir, showing the power of the story to affect lives and the empowerment given students to share their voices and to commit to becoming Rose's and other survivors' voices in the future.
