Maggie Hernandez has been a professional librarian for 32 years. In addition to holding an MLIS from UT Austin and a certification as a Texas School Librarian, she is a certified Educator for numerous EdTech apps. With God as her Master and Enabler, she passionately empowers teachers and students to fulfill their mission, making a positive difference in 7 academic and school libraries. She began serving at Antonian College Preparatory High School in 2017.

Maggie has spread her professional wings since she graduated from ESC 20 Library Leadership Cooperative in 2018 and TALL Texans Leadership Development Institute in 2021. She is experienced as a planner, facilitator, and speaker at conferences: ESC 20 Library Resource Roundup, Learning and Libraries Virtual Conference, BIG DIGital Summit (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023); Catholic Library Association Conference (2021); Texas Library Association (TLA) Conference (2021), and District 10 Fall Conference (2021). Maggie contributed articles to the CCM Challenger (2021) and Texas Library Journal (2021). She also volunteered at the San Antonio Book Festival (2020-2022) and TCEA conferences (2019, 2022). Maggie grew professionally by serving as the Chair of the TLA New Member Round Table (2021), a member of the TLA Texas Youth Creators Award Committee (2022-2025), the Coordinator of the San Antonio Private School Librarians Network (2020-present), and a member of Writer’s League of Texas (2022-present).
